I had been feeling exhausted, and failing to manage a lot of work and life-related stress. I had had success with restrictive weight-loss apps, but the weight was starting to creep back on, and I was feeling sluggish, heavy, uncomfortable and powerless against anxiety and emotional hormonal mood swings.
Working with Monica was the jolt I needed to start taking back control!
Over our months together, Monica showed me the power that comes with being mindful of what your body NEEDS to function, not just what I want it to take in in order to lose weight or provide basic energy (like caffeine).
Monica’s approach is TRULY holistic - we touched on almost every aspect of nutrition, wellness and stress-management. I learned the importance of high-quality animal protein, in the right amounts (trust me, you’re not getting enough!) - and started feeling fuller longer and generally more energized. She worked to find the right combination of supplements to help manage hormones, and helped me figure out strategies (that actually worked for me!) to cut back on drinking, promote sleep and gave me a ton of techniques for stress management. Because she’s also a trainer, she was able to offer incredible insight into how nutrition would affect my physical activity, and how to use it to get the most out of workouts.
Ultimately, Monica works WITH you not for you, to address the issues that YOU want to tackle. She is flexible, patient, collaborative, and an incredible listener - she’d often pick up on something I didn’t even know I needed. Most importantly, she reminds you it can’t be all or nothing - you need to be able to treat yourself, and eat and do the things you love, and her meal plan and advice reflect this.
Monica is a joy to work with, and her knowledge, expertise and guidance were gifts, and she truly cares about each and every client. I was on the fence at first, but working with her is a gift you give yourself, one you owe it to yourself to at least try.
I lost weight, my sleep improved, and I now have more tricks and tools to manage stress than ever before. It’s so easy to put aside our health and wellbeing when we get busy and stressed, and having someone on your team to support you, be accountable to, with such a vast knowledge of so many areas of health is SO worth it, and moreover, you DESERVE it.
